Estimates and Pricing

Free Estimates

We provide free estimates for most electrical projects. An estimate is not a guarantee of final price. Actual costs may vary based on conditions discovered during the work, changes to project scope, or unforeseen complications.

Pricing Agreement

Before beginning work, we will provide you with pricing information. For larger projects, this will be a written estimate or proposal. Your authorization to proceed constitutes acceptance of the quoted price and scope of work.

Additional Work

If we discover additional issues during a project that require work beyond the original scope, we will notify you and obtain your approval before proceeding with additional charges.

Scheduling and Appointments

Appointment Windows

We provide appointment windows for service calls. While we make every effort to arrive within the scheduled window, delays may occur due to emergency calls, traffic, or jobs taking longer than expected.

Cancellations

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in a service fee for future appointments.

Access to Property

You must ensure we have access to your property and the electrical systems we need to work on. If we cannot access the work area upon arrival, a trip charge may apply.

Permits and Inspections

Permit Requirements

Many electrical projects in Orange County, Seminole County, and other Central Florida jurisdictions require permits. We handle all permit applications and inspections as part of our service when permits are required.

Inspection Compliance

All permitted work is subject to inspection by local building officials. We will coordinate inspections and ensure all work passes inspection. If corrections are required by the inspector, we will complete them at no additional charge (unless caused by conditions outside our control or changes you requested).

Warranties and Guarantees

Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our work. Our standard workmanship warranty covers labor for one (1) year from the date of completion. If a problem arises due to our workmanship within this period, we will return and correct it at no charge.

Manufacturer Warranties

Products and equipment we install (such as generators, panels, EV chargers, and fixtures) are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. We will assist you with warranty claims when applicable.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications
  • Problems caused by power surges, lightning, or acts of nature
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Issues with existing wiring or equipment not installed by us
  • Damage caused by other contractors or DIY work

Payment Terms

Payment Methods

We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Payment terms will be specified in your estimate or invoice.

When Payment Is Due

For smaller service calls, payment is due upon completion of work. For larger projects, we may require a deposit with the balance due upon completion. Payment terms will be clearly stated in your proposal.

Late Payments

Invoices not paid within 30 days may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum rate allowed by Florida law, whichever is less.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, Spectrum Electric Inc's liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use of equipment.

This limitation does not apply to claims arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct.
