About Our Company

Spectrum Electric Inc. is a Florida State Certified Electrical Contractor (License #EC13008455), and we take immense pride in that. It signifies our commitment to the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship for our neighbors: the residential, commercial, and federal clients we serve every day across Central Florida, from our home base at 1231 Seminola Blvd, Casselberry, FL 32707.

Services We Provide

We provide licensed electrical services including but not limited to:

  • Electrical repairs and troubleshooting
  • Panel upgrades and replacements
  • Whole home rewiring
  • EV charger installation
  • Generator installation and service
  • Lighting and ceiling fan installation
  • Outlet and switch installation
  • Surge protection
  • Commercial and industrial electrical work
  • Emergency electrical services

All work is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.

Estimates and Pricing

Free Estimates

To eliminate surprises and build trust from the start, we provide upfront, fixed pricing, not estimates. Before any work begins, we will diagnose the situation, explain our recommended solution, and provide you with a firm price for the approved scope of work. This price will not change unless you authorize a change in the project's scope.

Pricing Agreement

Our process is built on clarity and your informed consent. Before we pick up a single tool, we will provide a detailed proposal with a firm, upfront price. Your approval of this proposal confirms our mutual understanding and authorizes our licensed electricians to proceed with making your home safer.

Additional Work

As we work, we sometimes uncover hidden hazards, such as old, brittle wiring or an overloaded circuit. If we find a safety issue that falls outside the original scope, we see it as our duty to stop, show you exactly what we've found, explain the risks, and present clear options and pricing before any additional work is performed.

Scheduling and Appointments

Appointment Windows

We schedule service calls within a clear arrival window and do our absolute best to be on time. Because our commitment is to craftsmanship, not volume, we will never rush a job to get to the next one, which can sometimes cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and will always communicate with you if we are running behind.

Cancellations

We value your time and prepare our team and vehicles specifically for your scheduled appointment. In return, we ask for the professional courtesy of at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, which allows us to serve another family in the community. A service fee may be applied to future bookings for last-minute cancellations.

Access to Property

To ensure we can work safely and efficiently, please make sure the work area is accessible to our technicians upon their arrival. This allows us to dedicate our time on-site to diagnosing and resolving your electrical issue. If we are unable to access the necessary panels, outlets, or equipment, a trip charge may be incurred to cover our time and travel.

Permits and Inspections

Permit Requirements

In Orange County, Seminole County, and throughout Central Florida, permits are a non-negotiable part of ensuring electrical work is done safely and correctly. They are an official record that your project meets strict safety codes. We see managing this process not as a burden, but as a core part of our long-term accountability to you, handling all filings and coordination on your behalf.

Inspection Compliance

We build every project to exceed code requirements, so the final inspection by a local official is simply a validation of the craftsmanship we've already delivered. We coordinate and attend all required inspections to ensure a seamless process for you. In the unlikely event an inspector requires a correction to our work, we will complete it immediately at no cost to you, because we stand behind our installations unequivocally.

Warranties and Guarantees

Workmanship Warranty

We reject quick fixes and build our electrical solutions to last for decades. To prove it, we stand behind our craftsmanship with an unmatched seven-year installation coverage. If an issue arises as a direct result of our installation within that period, we will return to make it right at no charge to you. That is our commitment to long-term accountability.

Manufacturer Warranties

We strategically install high-quality equipment from trusted brands like EATON, Siemens, and Leviton because their manufacturer warranties align with our own standards for reliability. While these warranties cover the device itself, we remain your partner and will assist you in navigating the claim process should a part we installed fail under its own warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications
  • Problems caused by power surges, lightning, or acts of nature
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Issues with existing wiring or equipment not installed by us
  • Damage caused by other contractors or DIY work

Payment Terms

Payment Methods

We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Payment terms will be specified in your estimate or invoice.

When Payment Is Due

As part of our upfront pricing promise, payment terms are always established before work begins. For most service calls, payment is due when our work is complete and you are satisfied. For larger installations, our written proposal will clearly outline any deposit requirements and the final payment schedule, ensuring there are no financial surprises.

Late Payments

We are committed to fulfilling our side of our agreement with professional, lasting work. We ask that you fulfill yours with timely payment. Invoices that remain unpaid after 30 days may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum rate allowed by Florida law, whichever is less.

Limitation of Liability

We stand behind the quality and safety of our work with our 7-year installation coverage. In accordance with Florida law, our total financial liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific work that gave rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use of equipment.

This limitation does not apply to claims arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Spectrum Electric Inc, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

  • Your misuse of our services or any equipment we install
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Our reputation is built on the streets we drive every day in Apopka, Winter Park, and Orlando. If you have any concern with our work, we ask that you call us directly. We take your satisfaction personally and are committed to having an open conversation to make things right, because your trust is the foundation of our business.

Governing Law

As a proud, locally-owned Florida company, all our agreements are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any formal legal action related to our services will be handled within the local court systems of Orange County or Seminole County, Florida.
